SRWN Aviation

SRWN became a victim of the uncertainty facing future operations at Daedalus and re-located at great expense to Henstridge in Somerset during 2008, losing jobs and income to the local area. As Christmas 2008 approaches the hangar shown in the pictures below lies empty, with the aircraft and equipment gone. SEEDA, who own the hangar currently have no rental income from it and will be having to pay the rates on the empty building themselves.

SRWN is a CAA approved M3 Maintenance Organisation. M3 approvals cover  "Organisations approved, in respect of aeroplanes and rotorcraft, the maximum total weight authorised of which does not exceed 2730kg, to make recommendations in respect of C of A renewal and to perform maintenance checks and Star Inspections."
Hampshire Constabulary's decision to close the airfield has led to the loss so far (7 November) of business to SRWN in excess of Two Hundred Thousand pounds and will lead to the loss of five jobs in the local area.
